About Athena
Athena is the goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare, and crafts. Born fully armored from Zeus's head, she represents the power of intellect and reason. She is the patron of heroes, protector of cities, and guardian of justice. In modern life, Athena's energy appears in those who think deeply, plan carefully, and protect others through knowledge rather than force.
In Mythology
Athena is the daughter of Zeus and Metis. When Zeus learned that Metis would bear a child who might overthrow him, he swallowed her. Athena then sprang fully grown and armored from Zeus's head. She competed with Poseidon for patronage of Athens, winning by gifting the city the olive tree—a symbol of peace and prosperity. She is often accompanied by an owl, representing wisdom.
