About Persephone

In Mythology
Persephone was abducted by Hades and became queen of the underworld. After her mother Demeter caused the earth to wither in grief, Zeus arranged for Persephone to spend half the year with Demeter (spring and summer) and half in the underworld (autumn and winter), creating the seasons.
